The encounter with the snake took place on September 30 inside a shed in Tubac, as reported by Rattlesnake Solutions, a company specializing in catching snakes, headed by hunter Dave Holland, who attended the case.
An 81-year-old woman was the one who made the call for them to remove the reptile, after finding it in a small space that, to the surprise of the community, had been sealed with a concrete mesh in August 2020 , she explained. the company through a statement on social networks.
The sealing of the shed was carried out in order to prevent rodents from entering the place, a situation that would have also attracted the snake two years ago; however, for some reason it got caught right at the time the place adaptations were made .
“They used high quality mesh to secure the front and back of the shed to keep rodents out. Since the shed was built on a large concrete slab and the sides were blocked off by the 4×4 support beams, there were no entry points there,” he explains.
According to Dave Holland through social networks, the specimen managed to survive two years in a space 2 feet wide, 12 feet long and 4 inches high, which highlighted the capacity of the specimen.
“I had been trapped for over two years in a space no larger than 2 feet wide, 12 feet long and 4 inches high from concrete slab to shed floor! He survived the drought of 2020, two winters, and without food for over 2 years with nothing to hide in except the remains of the old rat nest, ” explained the surprised hunter.
What was surprising about the finding was what the snake had to do to survive for so long without consuming food . What is presumed is that the snake had to go into a fasting process and save energy.
As reported by Rattlesnake Solutions, the snake was later released near a rat farm, in this way it had the option of feeding after two years of waiting.
snake in the pants
A new case of species trafficking occurred on the border between Canada and the United States where a man managed to enter US territory with three Burmese pythons hidden in his pants . The person responsible for this event was traveling on a bus with the exotic specimens.
The detainee, who is 36 years old and is originally from Queens, New York, achieved his goal of entering the United States from Canada at the Champlain port of entry, federal authorities reported. He now faces charges for bringing the snakes into the country.
The authorities cannot explain the high level of irresponsibility of the man who put his own life and that of the other passengers on the bus at risk, since at any moment the snakes could have taken on an aggressive behavior and attacked the humanity of the detainee or of some other person. vehicle occupant.
